Watermill winery is located in the historic Watermill Building, built in 1944 and located in Milton-Freewater Oregon in the Walla Walla Valley. A former fruit packing plant for the Watermill Food CO., the thick walls, partially underground construction and high ceilings keep the building naturally cool and make the structure the perfect venue for fermenting and storing wine. All production of Watermill wines are done on site from our estate grapes, and our winemaking staff utilizes top of the line fermentation equipment and barrels to ensure the highest quality during all stages of production. The winery currently has a fermentation capacity for 22,000 cases, barrel storage for more than 1500 barrels in our cellar and onsite warehouse storage for 50,000 cases. Its not all work at the winery however, as the Taproom for Blue Mountain Cider and game room are both located in the winery building. The Tasting Room
The Watermill tasting room building is located just across the Walla Walla Valley’s best patio from the Winery facility. As the former office building for the Watermill Food CO., the tasting room still utilizes many of the original features included in the buildings 1940s art-deco construction, including the original vault which is now used to store Watermill’s library wines. Upon entry you will find a modern and welcoming tasting space that can accommodate groups large and small. If you’re looking for something a little more intimate our club member area offers a private section for club members and their guests to enjoy smaller seated tastings with a member of Watermill’s staff in our sitting room or larger groups of up to 30 in our formal dining room. In addition to the club spaces Watermill also has a full commercial kitchen and modern teleconferencing room that can be utilized with the facility rental. Please see our facility rental page for more information.
